JEHOVAH'S KINGDOM OF MYTH (or holding on no matter what the facts!)
by Terry init is surprising how intellectually dishonest an otherwise wonderful person can be (a loved one) when it comes to holding on to.
a horrible lie.. .
you see it everyday.. a wife who will defend her husband against child-molesting and even disbelieve her own molested daughter!.

Would you pay $600 for a demonic experience
by NewYork44M inat the very moment i signed oni saw the quote related to demonic experiences next to the $600 question about the stones.. given my desire to increase efficiency i thought it might be good to combine the topics.. i am very dissapointed that i have never had a demonic experience.
the fact that i don't believe in demons may have impacted my lack of experience.
however, i would never spend $600 to seen any group or person - even if they were naked.. so, how about you?.

Satan's already got us, so he sends his minions to persecute li'l old ladies who stand on the corner holding magazines in the air.
But think about THIS; have you ever heard of ANY member of the GB having a demonic experience?
The reason why is given above.

Investments/Stocks & the Wall St. Casino
by tootired2care inthe stock market has had a big run-up over the last few years.
i believe this is in large part because the federal reserve and treasury dept.
have been pumping it up with fake money--you may disagree.

I think you may be picking the wrong time to get into stocks. The correct time to buy is when everyone is selling. We are approaching a top and the market will "correct" (fall) before the DJIA hits 17,000.
It is always good to learn the rules of any game before you play it.

Ouija boards and science
by FrankWTower inthere is an interesting new article at guardian.com on things like dowsing, ouija boards and other scams.
it illustrates how there is a scientific explanation for ouija boards, and how dowsing won't stand up to scientific scrutiny.. here's a summary:.
the ideomotor effect is also behind the supposed power of ouija boards to communicate with the dead.

I'm with AnnOMaly; it's probably a Mormon hoax. Anyone unfamiliar with this subject (Mormon hoaxes) should get a copy of the video "The Lost Book of Abraham."
see it here free:

Do you have washable computer keyboard?
by Iamallcool inhow do you like it?
i read some reviews, some of them said it stopped working after it has been washed.
i do not know if the reviews are planted negatively.

I knew a fellow who worked in IT. Long before "washable" keyboards came to the market, he wondered if a keyboard could survive a ride in a dishwasher.
It did!
The key factors were:
- DO NOT use ANY kind of dishwashing compound. Hot water jets are sufficient to do the job.
- DO NOT use any of the sterilize" or "pot scrubber" cycles unless you want to alter your keyboard's topography in a MAJOR way.
- You MUST allow the keyboard to dry for a couple of days before connecting it to your computer.
The keyboard he used was a Sun Microsystems type 5 ketboard, which was one of the first to use the "blister" style switches on the keyboard.

I'm an advocate of "intentional apostacy" which means I intentionally seek ways to break Watchtower rules that I believe are based on "dub-thunk" rather than REASON.
Study chess and the martial atrs, eat a blood sausage, learn to sing your national anthem (with feeling!), collect devices of divination (you get BONUS POINTS if you buy them at a garage sale) decorate your home with Xmas lights and statues of Kwan-Yin and Cthulhu, tour various churches, join the YMCA, donate blood and THANK A SOLDIER FOR HIS (or HER) SERVICE.
It's all good, and in the day of thy doing it, thou shalt not die.

Share the Craziest far out ideas/arguments you have heard about life in the "NEW SYSTEM"
by BU2B inreally the whole thing is ludicrious but it is hilarious and sad at the same time to see grown people arguing about weather there will be cars, planes, eat meat, what about fish, etc in a place as imaginary as oz, yet to them it is reality.. the teaching of a paradise earth was so illogical it really was the first thing that started me on the path to waking up.
just the thought that someone could greet their beloved spouse who had died only to come to the realization that they could never be together again struck me as so cruel, i didnt want to live there even if it was all true.. i have heard jws say they think we might be able to fly, read minds since we will be able to use 100% and some seem to think life would be an endless vacation, with modern conveniences with no thought to all the processes and work that goes into something simple like a pencil.
i love the article jwfacts has on the flaws of any theory or teaching of paradise earth.. what are some things you have heard discussed/argued in car groups, gatherings etc when you were in?.

To me, the craziest idea was that anyone was really going to live there.
